Costume Shop

Our Costume Shop houses a vast collection of commercial costumes, vintage clothing, and period costumes spanning from the 15th to 20th century, as well as items designed and built specifically for Playhouse productions. Virtually everything in the shop is available for rental to individuals, groups, and other theater and film productions.

In addition to garments, we are pleased to offer fully dressed wigs and hairpieces for rental, and stock a large supply of shoes and accessories like hats, gloves, purses, etc.

REGULAR SEASON HOURS
12 NOON until 7:00 PM Thursday-Friday
12 NOON until 5:00 PM Saturday
Closed MONDAY through WEDNESDAY

SUMMER HOURS:
June through August, the Costume Shop is open by appointment only.

*During Halloween season, hours may be extended. Please call for information.

Rental Information

The base rental price of a typical full costume is $25* not including dry cleaning. If costumes are returned without dry cleaning, and additional charge will apply. Wigs generally rent, fully-styled, for $15-$20. Accessory items may require an additional fee. Full-show and other multi-costume packages may have a lower fee per costume, depending on number.

*Students through college may be eligible for a 25% discount.

In order fulfill your needs at proper sizes, it is strongly suggested that you select and reserve your costume(s) well in advance of your event.
