JUNIOR PLAYHOUSE SCHOOL PERFORMANCES

The Junior Playhouse offers day-time performances of certain productions for school groups and home-school associations.

School performances must be booked ahead of time and groups must meet a minimum number of 12 students. We are unable to accomodate walk-in patrons or add-ons to groups after the booking deadlines. Because of sometimes limited availability, it is strongly urged that you book your group early. Because school bookings require a deposit, all bookings are made via mail.

Little Women, the musical

SCHOOL PERFORMANCES - November 29, 30, December 1, 2011

The timeless and beloved adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America is brought to life in an exhilarating new musical filled with glorious music, dancing and heart. The powerful score soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope -- the sounds of a young country finding its voice. This stage adaptation of the classic novel, based on Louisa May Alcott’s life experiences embodies the complete theatrical experience, offering laughter, tears, and a lifting of the spirit. Robin Hood

School Performances - January 19 and 20 , 2012

Adventure and excitement abound in 12th century England when the dasing rascal Robin Hood and his band of merry theives stand up against a tyrannical King and the crooked Sherriff on behalf of the people of Nottingham. From their headquarters deep in Sherwood Forrest, the outlaws scheme to help those in need by robbing from the rich in order to give to the poor, while vowing to protect the good and to never hurt women or children. Aprrox 1 hr.

Charlotte's Web

School Performances - March 29 and 30, 2012

Proving to be “a true friend and a good writer,” Charlotte, a clever and extraordinary spider, sets out to save the Zuckerman family’s irresistible young pig, Wilbur, from the butcher. Spinning her “miracle” web, she begins masterminds a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important for Charlotte. A beautiful touching story that explores the meanings of true friendship and sacrifice. Approx. 1 hr.
