JUNIOR PLAYHOUSE SUMMER CAMP
Oak Ridge Junior Playhouse is pleased to offer young people the opportunity to learn about theatre while putting together a workshop showcase production for family and friends at the conclusion of the camp. This interactive camp is for rising 4th graders through rising high school seniors. Beginners, as well as experienced thespians, will learn and strengthen fundamental acting techniques such as creating dynamic characters and communicating emotion through movement and voice. Participants will strengthen skills and explore new ideas in small groups, under the guidance and support of experienced theatre performers and directors in a friendly and nurturing environment. Campers will explore the technical aspects of theatre and practice creative problem solving, collaboration skills, and effective communication. Our goal is for each young person to grow in skill and personal confidence, whether onstage or off.
